a) Retrofit installation

1Home Bridge can be installed via POE adapter, put in a drawer, and connected to your KNX smart home via IP (in this scenario there has to be an existing KNX IP Interface installed on the KNX BUS). The end user can install the Bridge on its own and the smart home professional can connect remotely and finish the configuration.

b) New project

In a scenario of a new smart home project, the best is to connect 1Home Bridge directly to KNX BUS and mount its DIN-rail inside the electrical cabinet. A smart home professional is required on-site for this type of installation.
