A part of that app is also a friendly interface that enables me to set up new automation without learning to program ETS or paying for the license. I can even set up automation based on my location. "I planned to put all my critical infrastructure on KNX (lights, blinds, heating, ventilation) as I want it to work stably for decades. But if I realize I have to add another device after I move in, for example a reading light, I will be able to do that thanks to Matter to 1Home integration. I'll be able to simply add a Philips Hue light and still use it in automation with KNX so all my lights turn off when I leave the house. I'll also be able to do the same with contact sensors - just add a few on my windows via Matter - and then use it together in automation with my KNX weather station - and I'll get a notification every time my window is open and it starts raining."

"As an IT specialist, I would feel uncomfortable if my integrator would use VPN for remote support. VPN sure is secure but I don't feel comfortable granting access to all devices connected to the router (even my smartphone or computer). I can even open and close access for him in my 1Home dashboard."
